the staff were friendly. i found the location in a quieter part of the city quite appealing. it was a short walk to the royal mile and the palace. the blockout curtains worked well, important with light evenings.
The hotel room lacked storage space. It was a bit sparse for a longer stay.

the breakfast had good options, however it was a bit limited. the restaurant staff were nice and helpful. i could get everything i wanted in a timely manner, there were no issues.

The location is near holyrood palace and arthur's seat, both worth visiting. the hotel is only five minutes from the royal mile. the area feels safe. Walking at night was not a problem, which i appreciated.

The room was spacious. It had all the normal features you find in a full-service location. They upgraded my room upon check-in. I appreciated that.
The gym changing room cleanliness was not good. The showers were filthy , and bath mats had black mold on them. Torn shower curtains were off their rails.

the room was large with a nice shower head. i discovered a large indoor pool, a sauna, and a spa, which i thought were great. breakfast provided a large variety of food. the front desk staff, katie, donald, and david, were helpful and offered local information.
i found no hair straighteners available .
